Beliefs

Statement of Faith - Overview

1. Salvation by Grace

We believe in salvation by grace. This is a free gift from God, given to all who believe in His Son

Jesus, the Christ, and accept Him as the Lord of their life.

(Matthew 16:21-26) (John 3:16-19) (John 14:6) (Acts 4:12) (Romans 10:9-13) (Ephesians 2:4-9)

(I John 5:9-12)

2. We, The Believer, Are The Church.

Corinthians 12:27 Now you are Christ's body, and individually members of it.

1 Corinthians 12:12 For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ.

Ephesians 4:4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling;

Colossians 1:24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I do my share on behalf of His body, which is the church, in filling up what is lacking in Christ's afflictions.

Colossians 1:18 He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.

Ephesians 1:22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, an

d gave Him as head over all things to the church,

Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body.

John 2:19-22 Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." The Jews then said, "It took forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?" But He was speaking of the temple of His body.

Ephesians 2:19-22 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ. Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, read more.

1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

Galatians 3:27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

Colossians 2:19 and not holding fast to the head, from whom the entire body, being supplied and held together by the joints and ligaments, grows with a growth which is from God.

1 Corinthians 10:16-17 Is not the cup of blessing which we bless a sharing in the blood of Christ? Is not the bread which we break a sharing in the body of Christ? Since there is one bread, we who are many are one body; for we all partake of the one bread.

Ephesians 4:15-16 but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part , causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

1 Corinthians 12:25-26 so that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

Ephesians 4:25 Therefore, laying aside falsehood, SPEAK TRUTH EACH ONE of you WITH HIS NEIGHBOR, for we are members of one another.

Ephesians 5:29-30 for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, because we are members of His body.

Colossians 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.

1 Corinthians 12:12-31 For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many.

Ephesians 4:11-13 And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.

3. Deity of Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord, Christ Jesus. Jesus is God incarnate, and was manifest in human flesh. He was like us in all ways except for one, being free from sin.

(Isaiah 9:6-7) (John 1:1-14) (John 5:22-23) (John 8:54-58) (John 10:30)

4. Holy Bible is the Inspired Word of God

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. The Word of God is eternal and unbroken.

(Numbers 23:16-19) (John 1:1-14) (II Timothy 3:15-17)

5. God exists in Three Persons - The Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and

God the Holy Spirit. Three distinct personalities yet one. For there are three that bear record in

heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and THESE THREE ARE ONE. I John 5:7

It is amazing how much error there is in this world. Some may ask,"are you Trinitarian"? The

more proper response would be, we embrace the tri-unity (aka the trinity) of God (we prefer the

Bible word "Godhead")

(Deuteronomy 6:4-5) (Matthew 28:19-20) (Mark 12:28-31)

We embrace Theism, not Polytheism, and not Monotheism.

6. Virgin Birth of Christ

We believe that our Lord was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary.

(Isaiah 7:14) (Matthew 1:18-23)

7. Christ Died for Our Sins

We believe in the vicarious atoning death of Jesus, who died on the cross so that we might live -

offering Himself up as the perfect sacrifice for sinful man.

(Romans 5:6-10) (I Thessalonians 5:9-10)

8.Bodily Resurrection and Ascension of Christ

We believe that Christ is the risen saviour. Jesus rose from the dead, ascended into heaven,

and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

(Acts 1:8-11) (Romans 8:31-35)

9. Water Baptism

We believe that all believers should receive water baptism, as a demonstration of our faith, and

in obedience to the commandment of our Lord. This act represents a commitment by the

believer, and should be accompanied by a renewal and sanctification via the Holy Spirit. Water

baptism is an outward symbol of spiritual identification with His death, burial, and resurrection.

(Matthew 28:18-20) (Mark 1:4-11)

We do not believe water baptism saves the unbeliever.

10. Fruits and Gifts of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit, for the edification of the body of believers,

and enabling the believer to live a life pleasing to God.

(Matthew 7:13-23) (Acts 2:38-39) (Romans 12:4-8) (I Corinthians 12:1-12) (I Corinthians 13:1-3)

(Galatians 5:22-26)

We believe the power of God is for all believers.

11. The 5 Fold Ministry Gifts to the Body From Jesus.

What is the Five Fold? The term five-fold ministry” is a reference originating from Ephesians 4:11-16. The five-fold offices: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher, are the multi-faceted anointing of Christ distributed and presented to the body of Christ for the equipping of the saints for works of ministry. How Do These Gifts Function? In Matthew 10:40-42, Christ stated,Whoever receives a prophet, will receive a prophetreward. Whoever receives a righteous man, receives a righteous mans reward.” What reward does the saint receive for embracing the ministry and impartation of each of these offices? The Characteristics and subsequent rewards for the Christ anointing expressed through the five-fold cannot be defined and exhausted in such limited space. The following descriptions are

but a few of the vast benefits of receiving Christ through the gifts given to man.

Apostle–Apostles are spiritual fathers. They provide an environment for raising sons. One anointed to govern, correct, discern, and give oversight to the life and work of the ecclesia. Apostles see the big picture, the concept of the kingdom.

Keywords: Govern, father, pioneer, architect, revelation, discernment, foundation

Reward: a well-governed and disciplined life, divine order, identity, and a pioneering spirit

Prophet - Prophets give spiritual vision, direction, and interpretation. One who foretells. They

are instrumental in showing a son what he can look like.

Keywords: Guide, seer, pointer, intercession, revelation

Reward: spiritual guidance, direction, and understanding, no wandering

Teacher–Teachers are anointed to instruct and ground you in sound doctrine. In light of the

apostolic foundation and prophetic purpose, the teacher is responsible for providing an

incremental progression to the process of maturation as a son.

Keywords: Ground, instruct, incremental, mature, tutored–well-grounded in truth; not tossed to

and fro, encouraged to take the next step

PastorPastors are anointed to shepherd the flock. One who nurtures, feeds, guides, and

protects God's people. Relative to the evolution of sonship, the pastor comes along side one for

the purpose of encouragement, exhortation, and edifying through this transformation. Keywords:Guard, nurture, feed, comfort, protect, compassionate, exhort, encourage

Reward: well-fed and cared for, protected, encouraged, edified, built-up

Evangelist–Evangelists are anointed to reach-out and gather. One who heralds the good news

message of the kingdom. They reach out to the lost and born again children introducing them to

the revelation and possibility of sonship.

Keywords: Gather, herald, preach, proclaim

Reward: impartation of evangelism, an awareness and love for people and their purpose.

In the structure of the church, we see that there has been the Pyramid structure, with the

Leaders at the top and the ministers and people at the bottom. The people and minister’s

support the leaders, everything flows up to them. Support, finances, gifting ect...

This is not the Biblical pattern.

Some collapsed this system recognizing it was not right. Leaving congregationally ran churches.

This is also not a proper pattern. The Answer is the inverted or upside down Pyramid.

We believe in the offices and functions of the 5 Fold and are not hung up on the Titles. Your gift

will make room for you as a believer and peers will recognize the gifting and calling.

12. Bodily Resurrection of the Saints to Eternal Life

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saints to eternal life.

(Isaiah 26:19) (Daniel 12:1-3) (Matthew 22:30-32) (Mark 12:25-27) (Luke 20:34-38) (John 5:25-

29) (Romans 8:22-23) (I Corinthians 15:35-45) (I Corinthians 15:51-55) (I Corinthians 15:20-28)

(Philippians 3:20-21) (I John 3:1-3) (Revelation 20:4-6)

13. Second Coming of Jesus Christ

We believe in the second coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

(Matthew 24:1-44) (John 14:1-3) (Acts 1:9-11) (I Corinthians 15:20-24) (I Thessalonians 4:15-

17) (I Thessalonians 5:1-3) (II Thessalonians 2:1-4) (Titus 2:11-13)
